fabulous book for the new pre-teen or teenager to get good introduction to the Pagan world. giving them a bit of the background, beliefs (intro again) some of the holidays, and beginning rituals. Very good first book. Mama Ravenwolf is an awesome mother, and instructor. and above all author!
I return to this book many times in my 4 years of Wicca. it was the book that made me give Wicca a second look. My first wicca book was Wicca for one, and I hated it so much at the time. I got this used for .20 cents and it made everything click for me. I am so in love with this book. Anytime I feel sad or lost, I pull it off my shelf and re-fall in love with Wicca all over again.
My 11 year old son has been wanting to learn more on his own. So far this has been able to answer a lot of the questions he has and he's been able to create some of his own rituals. His little sister is very anxious to be able to use it also in the next few years!. Perfect addition to pagan library!
I’ve never been one to big on religion, yet I’ve studied a lot of them. So, when a friend of mine had their daughter jump into WICCA and witchcraft they asked me for a book. I’d heard about this one and got it. Then I read it and found it quite enjoyable as well as informative. Whenever, someone asks now I simply send the book on to them. All parents of children interested in WICCA should start here and move forward from here. This is a real eye opener.
