It's a bilingual version of story which is great! I like it so much I want to order copies for my Spanish classes.

This is a remarkable true story written by an incredibly brave young woman. A must read for every American.
Excellent book!
I have never before sat down to read a book and finish it in that one sitting. Ever. And I am a biiiiiiig reader! I was hooked right from the start because of the simple and compelling way this story was told. Liliana has innocence yet grit and strength, and she also has direction/vision. Just amazing. Only 14 years old, and what she endured is something that we should all know about. I am also a teacher of ESL at a community college - this will be a perfect book to introduce to my students. It is Spanish on the left side, and English on the right. While many teachers may not encourage the use of the native language to make progress in the one being learned, I would say that, on the contrary, this would make it less daunting for Spanish speaking students, AND, if other students are reluctant to read, you can encourage them by saying that the book is actually HALF the size that they see. And guaranteed within the first few pages, they will be hooked anyway. Thank you Liliana for your courage, and for sharing this story with us.
This is a story of unbelievable courage, commitment and passion. At times harrowing, ultimately Dreams and Nightmares is a testament to hope and to the very best of human nature.
America talks of a wall to keep immigrants away. Reading this book will open your eyes to the world of poverty and violence many children experience daily. A "sobering view" doesn't even approach the intense misery of these children's lives.
I couldn't put the book down. Everything this young lady endured is unimaginable. Her courage and bravery is amazing. Definitely a good read especially since it gives a raw insight of what many people who are undocumented go through. I'm so grateful she shared her story!
