This book has some great advice! I am currently a high school senior and just read this book. My friends made fun of me for it, but honestly it is so helpful. It addresses everything I've been worried about and all the advice seems useful and relevant.
I love that it gives real advice for a high school graduate/college freshmen. Purchased this book as a gift for my nephew and only skimmed it, but enjoyed everything I read. Contains quotes from students at a wide range of colleges and universities and covers topics all students worry about. Good advice and well thought out. Thanks for the unique & helpful gift.
I bought two books as a gift to my son and his girlfriend for the graduation day. They both liked this book. It's an easy to read book with practical advices on many apects of campus living and relations with other students. My son admitted this book was helpful. I'd suggest to combine it with Professor's Guide The Secrets of College Success that focuses more on academics and learning strategies. These two books together will do a favor to your freshman.
Bought this for my niece who is entering her freshman year of college. She has already put the great recommendations contained in this book to good use and I'm sure it will be her "bible" during her first semester. Well-written and interesting. Though written in an entertaining way, the author is very serious in providing new students with the information to keep them centered and safe. I read some of the chapters and found them very entertaining and informative. A must have guide for the student embarking on this most important chapter of his/her life.
I browsed few quite a few of these types of books before buying and SO glad we picked this one- must read! Great on all levels for both freshman student and parents.

I read it and then gave it to my grandson, who is a college freshman this year. It has some wonderful advice in it. I wish I had given it to him about 6 months ago!
