Read this book, save a life."Hidden Epidemic" helps explain how I could live an exemplary health and wellness lifestyle, (and not have a bad family history of heart disease) and somehow still get life-threatening arteriosclerosis at age 55. It makes a little more sense when you have 4 little "cesspools" in your jawbone trickling inflammation out to the rest of your body for 25 years.My standard panoramic X-ray looked good to the untrained eye, and I had no dental symptoms, but cavitation surgery with a holistic dentist uncovered 4 good-sized cavitations, with infection - one for each wisdom tooth pulled 25 years ago.I can't know if this was 20% of my problem or 80% of my problem - but regardless I am overjoyed that I am now healing these long running cavitations. I believe the message of this book was very timely for me and just well may have saved my health. I followed Dr. Levy's recommendations right away after reading this book in December 2017 and got 3 root canals extracted (all three bottom molars), using a biodentist in Tiajana (American Biodental) that was very thorough and careful with extractions. Two of my teeth were infected with cavitations. One of them had been giving me a lot of trouble which is why I read his book in the first place as I wanted to try to find out the truth between the two sides of the story. Levy offers a plethora of research evidence and it was completely convincing. I decided against dental implants because they still have a fairly high failure rate and they still put unnatural metal in the mouth and disrupt energy meridians. Anyhow, this book is easy to understand, thorough, and very convincing. Don't let your root canals or amalgam fillings ruin your health!
This is a very important book...if you have older root canals they could be putting your life in danger...I had very high chronic levels of inflammation. In my search to find the cause I learned Dental issue were very high on the list of cause...if you have inflammation concerns read this book...if you are not concerned about your inflammation read this book...I had a lot of old dental work...it has all been replaced my inflammation levels have dropped dramatically...now I’m working to knock out the rest of it by eating the right foods...easier said than done. I’m highly motivated by my recent improvements...

I have been involved in treating patients for years with my basic principle being that one's mouth to absolutely related to one's total health. The increased research done in this area has multiplied the recognition of how important this connection is to disease. New forms of diagnostic evaluation are proving this important link to heart disease, cancer, strokes, diabetes and more. This is a must-read for both doctors and patients to understand specific health challenges and how take action.
